Police Regional Office 6 promotes 510 personnel after passing the qualification standards set by the NAPOLCOM during its traditional Monday flag raising and awarding ceremony last March 12, 2018 at Camp Gen Martin T Delgado, Iloilo City.
Out of it, four hundred eighty-six (486) personnel are promoted thru regular promotion and twenty-four (24) were promoted under special promotion.
Thru regular promotion, eleven (11) were police commissioned officers (PCO) with starting rank of Police Inspector to Police Senior Inspector and four hundred seventy-five (475) others with the rank of Police Officer one (PO1) to SPO4 were all promoted in their next higher rank.
Meanwhile, the twenty-four promoted under special promotion were attritable personnel who pass the NAPOLCOM Special Promotion Programs.

Police Chief Superintendent CESAR HAWTHORNE R BINAG, Police Regional Office 6 director together with BGen. DINOH A DOLINA, Commander, 3rd Infantry Division of Philippine Army as Guest of Honor and Speaker during the traditional Monday flag raising ceremony headed the blessing of fifteen (15) brand new4x4 Toyota Hi-Lux and operational equipment issued to PRO6.
The new 4x4 Toyota Hi-Lux through Capability Enhancement Program (CEP) of the PNP will be distributed to the following: one (1) unit each for Regional Mobile Force Battalion, Aklan PPO and Guimaras PPO. While Antique PPO, Capiz PPO, Negros Occidental PPO and Iloilo PPO will receive three (3) unit of said vehicle.
PRO6 was also recipient of operational equipment such as body cameras four (4) units to be distributed to Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, Metro Boracay Task Force and two (2) units for Iloilo City Police Office. While thirty-six (36) Bullet proof vest will be distributed to different provincial and city police office and Regional Mobile Force Battalion.
Meanwhile, one hundred forty-seven (147) Fingerprint kit equipment will be issued to stations without issued of said kit and Search and Rescue(SAR) equipment will be distribute to PPO’s frequently hit by calamities and under the list of hazard prone areas.
Furthermore, units of restored M16 rifle will be issued to Antique Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) while one (1) unit caliber 30 for Capiz PMFC, one (1) unit caliber 60 and TIKKA rifle for Iloilo PMFC, twenty-four (24) units of 9mm TAVOR X95 will be issued to Metro Boracay Task Force and CDM equipment will be given to Aklan PPO, Iloilo and Bacolod City Police Office.
This said equipments were materialize through the Supply directive of Directorate for Logistics, National Headquarters, Camp Crame Quezon City to improve the anti-criminality and anti- terrorist campaign of the PNP.

POLICE CHIEF SUPERINTENDENT CESAR HAWTHORNE R BINAG Regional Director of Police Regional Office 6 awards Medalya ng Kagalingan to personnel of Police Regional Office 6 for displaying an exemplary ability as police officers earlier morning of February 26, 2018.
The medal were awarded to the members of Iloilo City Police Station 5 headed by POLICE CHIEF SUPERINTENDENT JUVY NAVALES, SPO1 Rubin Berondo, PO3s Alberto Sardua, Rolando Mendez, Ariel Amorin, PO2s Eduardo Gale, Joel Aguirre, Nelson Gabayoyo, Manuel GabioJr, Philip Marlou Espejo, Oliver Lonasco, Ruel Honggo, John Marcel San Pedro, PO1s Sidney Calata, Ian Pasco and Ildenso de la Cruz for their commendable performance during the arrest of Michael G Jancilan, High Value Target 2 and one of the most wanted persons of Iloilo Provincial Police Office last February 14, 2018 at Pedro Bulalohan, Brgy. San Rafael, Mandurriao, Iloilo City by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for violation of RA 10591.
Same award were also given to the members of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 6 for the successful implementation of Search Warrant issued by Hon. Jose Manuela A Lopez of MTCC, Kabankalan City dated January 29, 2018 which resulted to the arrest of Rommel AVillarosa and Rommick A Villarosa last January 30, 2018 at Brgy. Bantayan, Baras Diutay, Kabankalan, Negros Occidental for violation of RA 10591.
These individuals were POLICE SENIOR INSPECTOR KIM DOMINIC GAMBOA, SPO3 Ramiro Gocotano, SPO1 Jessica Gerardo, PO3s Arlan de Pedro and Edney Matillano.
Moreover, same recognition was also given to POLICE CHIEF INSPECTOR ROGELIO PACIFICAR JR, POLICE SENIOR INSPECTOR REY MOLAS, SPO2 Cristopher Sarinopia, SPO1 Cyril Robles and PO1 Romnick Ace Pacificar  and 13 others who were members of Provincial Drugs Enforcement Unit and San Enrique Municipal Police Station, Negros Occidental for the successful conduct of buy-bust operation that resulted to the arrest of Joel Limen last February 09, 2018 at Park Market Vendor, Crossing Sibucao, Brgy. Sibucao San Enrique, Negros Occidental for violation of sections 5, 11 and 12 of RA 9165.
Furthermore, other awardees from the City Drug Enforcement Unit, Bacolod City Police Office were POLICE SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT FRANCISCO EBREO, POLICE SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT NASRUD DINTAYUAN, POLICE INSPECTOR ADRIAN JAMES ALBAYTAR, PO3s Jesser Mathew Demaisip, Rommel Vincent Fuentebella, PO2 John Paul Baladhay, PO1 Jade Apostol, Cesar Chavez Jr, Jun Ley Cadagat, Dennis Celeste, Allen Elba, Jessmar Iwarata, Rolando Macoy Jr, Faith Dile and Michael John Barrientos for their successful conduct of buy bust operation that resulted to the arrest of three persons namely; Joseph Tan for violation of section 5 and 11 of RA 9165, and Rodel PArcon aka ‘Nene” and Chito Garrido for Violation of Section 11, Article II of same republic act.
The flag raising and awarding ceremony was simultaneously happened at PRO6 Headquarters and at Bacolod City Police Office.

The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) conducted a mass wedding and hosted a reception for 10 couples this Tuesday morning, February 27.
The mass wedding was held at PRO6 Chapel with POLICE SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT NOEL PONSARAN, Regional Chaplain officiated.
POLICE CHIEF SUPERINTENDENT CESAR HAWTHORNE R BINAG, regional director of PRO6 served as principal sponsor.
The 10 couples who tied the knot were;

  2. PO3 Joemarie Balisang and Louella May Balisang
  3. PO3 Rex Alejandro and PO1 Charisse S Alejandro
  4. PO2 Melvin Deypalubos and PO2 Ada Lyn Agnacito

  6. PO2 Ruel Honggo and Teo An Honggo

After the wedding ceremony, reception followed at the Multi-Purpose Hall.

POLICE CHIEF SUPERINTENDENT CESAR HAWTHORNE R BINAG, Police Regional Office 6 director joined POLICE SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT NOEL PONSARAN regional chaplain in the blessing the twenty (20) units of 135cc Kawasaki Rouser Motorcycle issued to PRO6 yesterday, February 21, 2018 at Camp Delgado headquarters.
These motorcycles were from the Directorate for Logistics, National Headquarters, Camp Crame Quezon City.
Said equipment was distributed in Bacolod City with 12 units and at Iloilo City, 8 units.
The 12 for Bacolod City was intended to Bacolod City Police office with 2 units and the remaining was distributed to Police Stations 1 to 10.
Meanwhile, the 8 for Iloilo City was for Iloilo City Police Office with 2 units and the rest was for the 6 CityPolice Stations with 1 unit per station.
The said motorcycles are intended to fill up shortages in travel equipment. It will be used as additional vehicles for police visibility, checkpoint-operations, emergency services, beat patrol and hot pursuit operations.
